GMC’s Lineup for the 2017 Canyon Offers More Options for a Diverse Industry

A DIVERSIFIED LINEUP

2017 GMC Canyon Denali

GMC’s already impressive mid-size truck portfolio gains a few new siblings in the Canyon Denali and All Terrain X. These additions, along with the original lineup, provide fleet managers with more choices in configuring a small truck to their exact needs. The Canyon Denali and All Terrain X models provide an updated V6 engine paired with an 8-speed transmission to blend performance with efficiency.
The Canyon Denali is distinguished by chrome exterior details and wheels, along with exclusive interior trim and content. But, some jobs require off-road or harsh conditions. That’s where the All Terrain X package steps in. The All Terrain X package takes the popular All Terrain model one step further, with Goodyear DuraTrac all-terrain tires, all-weather floor liners, and more.
For fleets needing a light truck with heavy capabilities, the 2017 GMC Canyon might be just the truck you’re looking for.

TALK ABOUT POWER

The 2017 Canyon has an updated 3.6-liter V6, which is paired with the new Hydra-Matic 8L45 8-speed transmission, offering 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. This pairing leverages technologies, such as continuously variable valve timing, direct injection, and Active Fuel Management, to balance performance and efficiency.
According to the company, “The new powertrain offers up to a 7,000-lb max trailering rating that is second in the segment only to the Canyon’s available 2.8-liter Duramax diesel, which is rated at 7,700 lbs. The All Terrain model requires the new 3.6-liter V6/8-speed automatic propulsion system. The 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine is available.”

BREAKDOWN: DENALI

The Canyon Denali might not be a match for all fleets; however, it makes a particularly comfortable and practical mobile office. The 2017 Canyon Denali features 20-inch ultra-bright machined aluminum wheels with painted accents, along with tubular chrome assist steps, and spray-on bedliner to protect your investment.
With heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, and automatic climate control, the Denali model will be comfortable across the seasonal spectrum. The full-color driver information center features GMC IntelliLink with Navigation and an 8-inch diagonal touchscreen.
Safety features include Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning, but, GMS notes, “Safety features are no substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings, and road conditions at all times.”
A few fun additions to this mobile workspace include:

  • Remote start
  • 4G Wi-Fi Hotspot with three-month/three-GB trial
  • Bose® premium seven-speaker audio system
  • Two USB charging ports on the rear of the center console and another inside the console

The 2017 GMC Canyon Denali conveys the utmost in professionalism, inspiring confidence in clients and employees alike.

BREAKDOWN: ATX

According to GMC, “This special version of the popular All Terrain package offered on the SLE model is the most off-road-capable Canyon for those who travel beyond the paved path.” The All Terrain X model offers a solid truck for those jobs that take fleet drivers off-road, whether it’s to a construction site or remote utility site.
Along with the addition of Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac P255/65R17 all-terrain tires and all-weather floor liners, the All Terrain X model includes:

  • Off-road suspension and transfer case shield
  • Body-color grille surround and rear step bumper
  • Red-stitched and heated front seats
  • Hill Descent Control
  • 17-inch aluminum wheels
  • Three-inch-diameter round step bars
  • Spray-on bedliner
  • Remote start
  • Automatic climate control and sliding rear window

The 2017 GMC Canyon All Terrain X provides a light truck tough enough to handle fierce environments.
