POWER
FUSO’s gas-powered models feature a powertrain that was strategically designed for smooth power and lower operating costs. The FE180 Gas features a PSI-GMPT 6-L V8 engine that has twice the displacement of diesel options and delivers 297 hp and 361 lb-ft of torque.
The FE180 Gas is equipped with the Allison 1000 Series 6-speed automatic transmission, designed for stop-and-go, steep-grade startability, and low-speed maneuverability—a perfect fit for urban delivery.
The Allison also features FuelSense 2.0 with DynActive Shifting. DynActive technology continually refines each shift using a learning algorithm instead of shifting gears based on a data table of fixed shift points. This provides a balance between performance and fuel efficiency for an operator’s specific duty cycle. The result? A 2 to 6% improvement in fuel economy. This technology is standard on all FE180 Gas trucks.
The Allison 1000’s commercial-grade design also features an optional power takeoff (PTO) that can drive a range of vocational accessories such as lift bodies and dispensing pumps.
FASHIONABLY FUNCTIONAL
Spacious. Insulated. Adjustable. Functional. These are just a few words used to describe the interior of the FUSO FE180 Gas. Drivers enter the well-sprung cab using low-entry steps, which along with the dash-mounted shifter and adjustable steering wheel make for easier entrance and exit.
The FUSO FE180 Gas features a heavy-duty driver’s seat that offers adjustable lumbar support. In this cab, FUSO rolled out the red carpet for drivers … or actually, the red seat belt, a brand trademark.
