GMC’s Canyon is a mid-size truck built for work and comfort. If your business requires a well-kept vehicle to meet with clients or customers yet also requires your crew to carry a few loads here and there, the Canyon delivers.

SCHMOOZE MODE

Impress your clients and customers with a snazzy chariot. New for 2019, the Canyon features an improved GMC Infotainment system. It’s more personalized with an intuitive user interface. It features a cloud-connected navigation with real-time traffic updates, Android Auto phone projection capability, Apple CarPlay, and access to a catalog of apps through embedded Collection/Shop features on a 4G LTE connection. In the Canyon, you’ll never be disconnected. GMC also improved in-cab voice recognition, adding a second hands-free microphone to select models.

The Canyon is offered in SLE, SL, Canyon, All Terrain, Denali, and SLT models. The Denali is packed with stunning standard features, such as remote start, heated steering wheel (both of which are standard on All Terrain and SLT and available on SLE), a Denali-exclusive chrome grille, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and heated and ventilated front leather-appointed seats. With features like these, anyone who sits in a Canyon will feel their worries melt away.

WORK MODE

GMC strives to make a fleet owner’s life a little less stressful, adding small but impactful details to its vehicles. If losing fuel caps is a common occurrence among your fleet drivers, worry no more. The Canyon features a capless fuel fill on gas-engine models. A CornerStep rear bumper design is also standard allowing for easier access to tools, supplies, or a load in the bed. Speaking of access to the bed, an EZ Lift-and Lower tailgate is available that makes raising the tailgate with one hand a breeze. The EZ Lift-and-Lower tailgate also features a damper for more controlled lowering.

Going off the pavement? The All Terrain package is available on the SLE model and includes Z71 suspension, standard transfer case skid plate, automatic locking rear differential, and more. The All Terrain X package is available on All Terrain and includes Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac P255/65R17 all-terrain tires, spray-on bedliner, all-weather floor liners, 3-inch round step bars, Hill Descent Control, and off-road suspension.

Carry whatever you need or want in the Canyon, as a standard two-tier loading allows a platform to split the bed into upper and lower sections. With this feature, fleet operators have the ability to conceal tools or equipment. And, for the equipment that can’t be concealed, tie it down using 13 standard tie-down locations throughout the bed with available, movable cargo tie-down rings.

The GMC Canyon is available in three engines: a 2.5-L offering 200 hp at 6,300 rpm and 191 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm; a 3.6-L V6 offering 308 hp at 6,800 rpm and 275 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm; and a 2.8-L Turbo-Diesel with 186 hp at 3,400 rpm and 369 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm.

The 2.8-L Duramax features a smart diesel exhaust brake system that enhances vehicle control and reduces brake wear on steep grades. And, a G80 automatic locking rear axle is available.

Choose between three cab and bed configurations that include extended cab with a 6-ft-2-inch bed, a crew cab with a 5-ft-2-inch bed, and crew cab with a 6-ft-2-inch bed. The 6-ft-2-inch bed allows hauling of 8-ft-long items with the tailgate down. And, with any haul, safety and stability should be priority.

STAY SAFE

The Canyon features standard StabiliTrak electronics control with rollover mitigation technology, hill-start assist, and trailer sway control. Six air bags surround the cab: frontal air bags, head-curtain side air bags for outboard passengers in all rows, and seat-mounted side air bags for the driver and front outboard passenger.

Never lose sight in the 2019 Canyon where the rear-vision camera is now digital (standard on all models except the base Canyon trim), replacing the analog camera on older models. Rear Park Assist is now standard on SLT and Denali models and available on SLE and All Terrain. Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning are standard on Denali and available on SLE and SLT. With all these safety features, you can count on your fleet drivers’ protection.
