WHAT TO EXPECT

Like many Work Truck Week attendees, Herjavec is an entrepreneur as well as a successful business leader. Born in Eastern Europe, he escaped communism in the former Yugoslavia and emigrated to Canada. He started out delivering newspapers and waiting tables, then he eventually launched a computer company from his basement. Needless to say, his drive to achieve has led him to create a better life for himself and his family. After building and selling several IT companies, he founded Herjavec Group in 2003; it then quickly became one of the world’s largest, privately held cybersecurity firms.

Herjavec shares his expertise with other entrepreneurs weekly as a leading Shark on ABC’s Emmy Award-winning hit show Shark Tank. On this long-running program, ambitious entrepreneurs pitch a panel of investors known as “Sharks” on investing in their companies. Herjavec also has written three best-selling books: “Driven,” “The Will to Win,” and “You Don’t Have to Be a Shark: Creating Your Own Success.”

“Robert Herjavec draws on his own rags-to-riches experience and substantial business success to inspire others to take risks, take control of their future, and stay true to their visions,” says David Scheitlin, 2023 NTEA Convention chair, and director of operations at Holman. “Work Truck Week attendees are sure to be both entertained and inspired by his stories and insights.”

Additionally, Herjavec’s keynote will be a moderated question-and-answer conversation. It is sure to cover business trends, entrepreneurship, and maybe even some behind-the-scenes anecdotes from Shark Tank.
