Isuzu Creates Director, EV Strategies Position in Preparation for the Future

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, Inc., announced that Matthew A. Mesick will hold the position as the company’s first director, EV strategies. Isuzu created this position in the company just two months after its big announcement at 2023 Work Truck Week. There, the company announced its all-electric truck for US and Canadian markets will begin production in 2024.

“As electric vehicles will play an ever-increasing role in our future, having resources focused 100% in this area is necessary for our organization to support everyone’s efforts properly,” says Shaun Skinner, president of Isuzu Commercial Truck of America and Isuzu Commercial Truck of Canada.

Skinner also says the new position will focus on EV growth. It will also focus on supporting Isuzu dealers with information concerning EV regulations, subsidies, trends, and more, he says.

Mesick has been with Isuzu Commercial Truck of America for 11 years and has held both service and sales positions. Most recently he has served as director of western regional operations for the company.

“I strongly believe Isuzu has never been in a better position in the medium-duty marketplace, and we will continue to look for ways to better serve our dealers and customers,” Skinner says. “These changes will put us all in a prime position for success now and in the future.”
