Feedback from end users and fleet managers to our dealers and sales representatives helped identify the features and design approaches that had proven their value in the field. The ServicePRO XP was also developed by utilizing the expertise across Monroe Truck Equipment, DuraMag and Royal Truck Body.

Combining Strengths
ServicePRO XP was developed by combining the strengths of three well-established brands: Monroe, Royal, and DuraMag.
The steel ServicePRO XP Service Body brings together features and design elements from across those brands, including the Royal XP assembly, environmental durability & five-point locking system, Monroe StepMate bumper, grab handles and Fenderette, and DuraMag innovations such as the aluminum tailgate and shelving, Unistrut mounting channels, and compression door-pocket design.
ServicePRO XP gives fleets and dealers a more complete specification from the outset, reducing the need to add fundamental features later.

Our HUCK Lock-Bolt construction replaces traditional fastening methods and welding on our steel bodies. This allows pre-painted parts to be bolted together, avoiding burning through the corrosion-protection system of the steel substrate. Increase durability and reduce delivery times to customers.

Product Development
A service body is a tool. It needs to protect and organize equipment, withstand daily wear and tear, and help technicians get their work done efficiently.
A wide range of vocations was considered during the development of the ServicePRO XP. That led to an important decision: ServicePRO XP would not be built around a minimal base body. Instead, Monroe set out to create one of the most feature-rich standard service bodies on the market.
The distinction matters. A feature-rich standard body gives customers more capability from the start, while leaving room to customize by vocation.
More Capabilities
ServicePRO XP was also designed to recognize that no two work trucks are exactly alike.
A utility technician may need a different configuration than an HVAC contractor. A municipal fleet may have different storage requirements than a construction company. A maintenance professional may prioritize organization differently than a mobile service operation.
That is why Monroe focused on making the body adaptable where customization matters most.
ServicePRO XP also provides nearly two additional cubic feet of storage compared with comparable bodies from its competitors. Combined with dual side pack partition cutouts for securing longer items and configurable mounting options, that additional space can translate into more usable capacity without requiring a larger body.

Validated for the Market
Adding features is easy. Engineering them into a body that can withstand years of work and the elements is the harder task.
For our XP line of products, we subjected our steel service body assembly to a rigorous validation program designed to replicate real world environmental, operational, and abuse conditions throughout the product lifecycle.
A shaker-table torture test subjected the body to 1.1 million simulated work-day events. Testing included a 1,250-pound ladder-rack load and the full 1,700-pound body weight. The body endured 305 hours of continuous testing with no fractures or stress damage.
The body was also tested at Navistar’s proving-ground facility under full GVWR loads. High-stress durability events included skid-pad testing, grades and off-road conditions. The testing represented 250,000 equivalent miles with zero structural failures.
Our innovative HUCK Lock-Bolt construction remained intact throughout the testing, with no loosening, shearing, or fatigue. The result validates the fastening approach as a durable alternative to traditional construction methods and supports the body’s long-term structural integrity.
Finite Element Analysis provided another level of engineering validation. Monroe used computer modeling to evaluate how loads move through the complete service body structure, including crossmembers, longitudinal members, mounting brackets, weld joints and frame connections. The analysis helped validate load distribution and identify areas requiring additional attention to fatigue resistance.
Corrosion protection was tested just as rigorously.Our XP steel body underwent SAE J2334 cyclic salt spray testing, designed to simulate the combination of salt, humidity, drying cycles and temperature changes experienced during North American winters equivalent to 1,000 hours. The body showed zero rust formation, minimal corrosion creep from scribe marks, and no blistering, peeling or coating failures.
The testing supports a body engineered for seven-plus years of real-world performance, while the combination of steel corrosion protection and aluminum components is designed to minimize the corrosion concerns that can shorten the life of a service body.
