Great Tipping Systems Start with a Great Product

BINNOTO’S SOLID DESIGN TAKES THE CAKE

How often should the seals in your telescopic cylinder be replaced? How often should you change the hydraulic oil in your wet-line kit? How often should you apply grease? These are questions we hear often and the response is not as straightforward as you would think.

Regular and frequent maintenance is important to extending the life of your hydraulic tipping system as well as of the whole vehicle itself. Maintenance is essential to keep your vehicle on the road working safely, reducing downtime, and extending the life of your hydraulic system.

As a rule, an inspection of the vehicle should be part of the operator’s daily routine; this will help detect problems before damage occurs. Therefore, with so many variables, it is best to implement frequent inspections to minimize risk and increase safety and performance.

From user manuals to stickers directly applied on the products, reminders are never enough as operators are busy with many other activities. This is why the best action that a manufacturer can take to assist customers in reducing maintenance and to increase safety and product life is to provide a superior product.

BINOTTO SOLUTION

Binotto is a global manufacturer of telescopic cylinders and a worldwide brand of complete hydraulic systems for tipping vehicles. Binotto promotes safe tipping training and education while focusing on correct vehicle tipping practices and frequency of checks and inspections for a better maintenance routine.

CYLINDER DESIGN

Combining its design with excellent machining accuracy and long-standing manufacturing expertise, Binotto telescopic cylinders have features with many advantages for operators, saving costs for maintenance and repair.

Binotto offers a vast quantity and variety of telescopic cylinders, with the widest range for capacity and product variations and highly rated for reliability and design. This position comes from decades of industry experience with thousands of customers operating in different markets, all with various applications for their vehicles.

The engineering of Binotto’s products starts at the raw material selection, using seamless tubes from premium grade steel manufacturers with high yields point and tensile strength.

Furthermore, Binotto tubes are roll hardened for exceptional smoothness. This special internal and external “rolling” burnishing process increases the life of the seal (reducing wear and tear), offering unbeatable, reliable, and long-lasting products.

This feature of the tubes combined with special sliders does not allow more than 0.07-mm clearance between the stages, which helps resist side load and bending factors.

The design of Binotto telescopic cylinders is different from competitors in that its double-seal system prevents leaking oil. Binotto’s design is also known for its total absence of stop limit rings; the stop limit is obtained directly on the pipe to provide the user with the highest safety when the cylinder is fully open.

Binotto’s solid design is achieved by machining the stop limit directly into the section tubes. This allows for metal to metal contact. Some manufacturers use a groove and clip-in stop limit that can fail when the cylinder encounters a spike in pressure. If a clip-in stop limit slips out of its groove, the cylinder section will be damaged leading to downtime. This problem is eliminated with Binotto’s solid design, as well as with its B3 technology.

B3 TECHNOLOGY

B3 technology is a patented cushioning system that reduces the impact telescopic cylinders experience at the cylinder section’s stop limit. When a telescopic cylinder is extending, the cylinder section reaches a max length and is stopped by the stop limit. Once the stop limit is reached, the next section begins its extension, and the process is repeated until all sections are extended. These stop limits are exposed to perpetual stress, which is why it is important to reduce impact. Reducing stress increases the life of the cylinder and leads to safer tipping.

Along with Binotto’s B3 technology, its product design features a self-bleeding cylinder, no adjusting nuts, double sealing-system, and a two-year warranty. Binotto’s self-bleeding cylinders allow its customers to stay focused on production with minimizing labor.

Binotto’s double-sealing system within its products offers a wide temperature range for use in various climates. This sealing system is versatile and vetted in the extreme winters of Siberia and summers in African deserts. Leak-free cylinders offer peace of mind and are better for the environment. Superior results demand the use of a superior product—that’s where Binotto comes into play.
