Freightliner Designed the M2 112 to Work Hard and Work Smart

MAKE THE SMART CHOICE

M2 112

Whether you need an all-purpose workhorse or a machine specific to one application, Freightliner created one truck to ease your workload and increase productivity.

‘LINER POWER

The Freightliner M2 112 is an ideal Class 7/8 truck for a variety of vocational segments. With a short 112-inch BBC and low overall cab height, the lightweight yet tough vehicle is designed to meet demanding jobs by delivering up to 505 hp and 1,850 lb-ft of torque with the Detroit™ DD13® engine.

The M2 112 can also be spec’d with a Cummins L9 engine or as a natural gas vehicle, allowing you options that suit your every need. Pair a heavy-duty engine with a hard-working transmission with options including Eaton Fuller Manual or Automated manuals or Allison Automatic 2000, 3000, and 4000 series transmissions.

The versatile M2 112, capable of GVWRs of up to 80,000 lbs, is also available with Extended and Crew Cabs for your load, your haul, and your team.

Perfect for utility, dump, or hauler applications, the M2 112 is loaded with features that contribute to maximizing productivity and lowering its Real Cost of Ownership (RCO). No one wants a truck that can’t function properly at difficult-to-access jobsites. That’s why Freightliner made sure tight turns were no match for the M2 112, giving it up to 55 degrees of wheel cut, set-back front axle, and swept-back front fenders. A clear back-of-cab allows for ease of upfit for truck equipment manufacturers (TEMs) to spec the right body for any application, giving businesses the flexibility they need to get the job done. The SmartPlex® electrical system adds expansion capabilities and allows custom programming for each customer’s requirements with no software to buy or additional tools required.

ON THE INSIDE

Optimize comfort and operations inside the M2 112’s well-appointed cab. Its ergonomic dash features easy-to-reach, automotive-style gauges and switches. Additionally, drivers will appreciate the truck’s low step-in height and multiple interior/exterior grab handles that allow for safe and easy ingress and egress. The M2 112 has superior visibility from the driver’s seat. The truck has a 2500-sq-inch tinted windshield and a downward-sloping aerodynamic hood that provide a clear, wide-open view of the road and the work at hand.

SAFETY FEATURES

Safety should always be a top priority. Available with the M2 112 are active safety systems from Wabco. The OnLane™ and OnGuardACTIVE™ systems help the driver avoid unintended lane departures and potential collisions. Standard with trucks specified with Detroit engines is Detroit Connect Virtual TechnicianSM. This remote diagnostics system can translate fault event data into actionable intelligence and contribute to increased uptime for the driver and fleet.

A truck built specifically to be customized, durable, and dependable, the M2 112 is easy to maintain and designed to save repair costs by allowing partial replacement. Keep your machine on the road instead of in the shop. With all these features, it’s easy to see why a Freightliner M2 112 is the smart choice.
