Industry leaders can use the State of The Mobile Compressed Air Industry to compare their businesses to their peers. This year’s survey focuses on four key areas of interest: demographics, fleets, equipment including air compressors, and recent business challenges.

Mike Pettigrew, VMAC marketing manager, says the respondents answer many of the same questions every year; however, the survey also includes questions that reflect what’s happening in the industry. Pettigrew says this year’s survey tackles supply chain and pandemic challenges as well as a shift in attitude from respondents.

VMAC surveyed 340 people between November 2021 and February 2022 for this year’s state of industry research. The survey asked questions of respondents representing numerous industries, including construction, transportation, oil and gas, municipal infrastructure, agriculture, and more.

“This survey becomes more popular every year,” Pettigrew says. “The research we conduct is important for understanding changes within the mobile air industry, and we are happy to share the results with our peers.”
