Trillium Expands CNG Customer Base

NEW COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS FUELING STATION IN MIAMI HELPS SHRINK CARBON FOOTPRINT WHILE LOWERING ANNUAL MAINTENANCE COSTS

Trillium Energy Solutions announced the opening of a public compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Miami. The partnership between Trillium and the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) made this station a possibility.

Ryan Erickson, Trillium’s vice president, says Trillium began fueling DTPW buses in 2018. He says Trillium will continue to support DTPW’s commercial fleet’s refueling needs. “DTPW’s CNG buses serve important needs of local economies in ensuring reliable public transportation,” Erickson says. “So it’s critical their vehicles are operating efficiently. We were able to balance their needs and our experience from operating 216 CNG refueling stations to identify ways they can shrink their carbon footprint and control operating costs.”

Additionally, Trillium will operate and maintain the new Florida-DTPW CNG Fueling Station on Coral Way. Further, the station will support 560 of the 748 buses the county operates.
