The Transit Connect is an Efficient Business Vehicle in a Compact Package

IT’S BIGGER ON THE INSIDE

With new features and plenty of carryover content, Ford Transit Connect continues to cater to the needs of tradesmen, small businesses, and commercial fleets—customers looking for a versatile, capable, maneuverable, and efficient business vehicle in a compact package.
Optional SYNC® 3 with navigation and 6.5-inch touch screen is now available for Transit Connect XLT. The system features high-speed performance, enhanced voice recognition, a capacitive touch screen, and easy-to-understand graphic interface to help Ford customers connect on the road.
Also new for 2017 are available roof rails and roof rack for both XL and XLT series vans.

SMART FEATURES

Ford’s industry-first MyKey® programmable ignition key remains standard for Transit Connect XLT. The feature lets owners and fleet administrators preset warnings and limits for vehicle speed. MyKey also limits the entertainment system’s audio to 45% of maximum volume.
Fleet customers can specify Transit Connect with available Ford Telematics™, powered by Telogis®. The system enables a centralized logistics leader to simultaneously monitor several vehicles in real time for location, speed, excess idling, and more—helping track productivity and efficiency.

Short-wheelbase Transit Connect can easily maneuver and park on tight city streets while offering up to 103.9 cubic-ft of storage capacity. The long-wheelbase model gets 128.6 cubic-ft of storage.

BUILT TO GET JOBS DONE

Transit Connect is a modern-day workhorse boasting large cargo-carrying and payload capacities, as well as a high-strength body engineered to rigorous global commercial vehicle durability standards. The exterior offers sufficient space for business advertising.
With a best-in-class 36.1-ft curb-to-curb turning diameter, short-wheelbase Transit Connect can easily maneuver and park on tight city streets while offering up to 103.9 cubic-ft of storage capacity. The long-wheelbase model gets 128.6 cubic-ft of storage and 1,610-lb payload capacity. When properly equipped, Transit Connect features an unsurpassed tow rating of 2,000 lbs.

WORK-READY POWER

Transit Connect’s standard 2.5-liter Duratec® delivers 169 hp and 171 lb-ft of torque, along with an EPA-estimated rating of 27 mpg highway. The engine is paired with a 6-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission, which is great for around-town responsiveness and low-rpm highway cruising. The van can be ordered with a Gaseous Engine Prep Package to run on compressed natural gas and liquid propane.
All told, Ford Transit Connect provides unexpected features in a stylish, compact package that maneuvers tight city environments, offers smart technologies and, when push comes to shove, has the power, fuel efficiency, and storage capacity to get the job done.
