Kenworth T880 Concrete Pump Truck Produces $505,000 Donation to Support CIM Education Program

SOLD AT ANNUAL CIM AUCTION AT WORLD OF CONCRETE

A donated Kenworth T880 truck sold during the Concrete Industry Management annual auction will contribute to the CIM educational program. This is thanks to Kenworth, Alliance Concrete Pumps, Papé Kenworth, as well as other Kenworth supplier partners.

East Coast Concrete Pumping, a residential and commercial concrete pumping company based in Taylors, South Carolina, purchased the truck.

TRUCK FEATURES

The donated Kenworth T880 features a PACCAR MX-13 engine rated at 455 hp as well as 1,650 lb-ft of torque. It also features a truck-mounted Alliance Concrete Pumps JXLZ 38-meter boom pump. Other contributing suppliers for this truck include Alcoa, Allison Transmission, Bridgestone, Meritor, and Neway.

Additionally, auction proceeds support the CIM educational program and fund scholarships for students pursuing a degree in Concrete Industry Management. Scholarships are available for students pursuing degrees at Middle Tennessee State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Texas State University, California State University – Chico, and South Dakota State University.

Jim Walenczak, Kenworth assistant general manager for sales and marketing, thanks East Coast Concrete Pumping for purchasing the truck. He says education is key to a stronger workforce, and Kenworth appreciates the opportunity to assist CIM in furthering education.
