TEREX WRAPS UP 38TH ANNUAL HANDS ON TRAINING SEMINAR

More than 30 people from five countries attended Terex Utilities’ 38th annual Hands On Training seminar, which included demonstrations of aerial lifts, digger derricks, and auger drills. Participants from Spain, Peru, Mexico, Canada, and the US included fleet managers, fleet technicians, purchasing managers, and other office personnel.

The Hands On Training, held August 22-24, 2016, at Terex Utilities’ outdoor training grounds in Watertown, South Dakota, is designed to help customers and distributors gain a better understanding of typical applications and proper use of Terex equipment. Over the course of three days, participants rotated through 10 stations where they operated equipment and performed actual jobs under direct supervision of Terex trainers. Tasks included digging holes and setting poles with digger derricks, setting screw-anchors in four different directions, using remote controls to change out a transformer, and setting up and performing a three-phase lift.

MUNCIE POWER PRODUCTS HELP PREVENT THE MOST COMMON DUMP PUMP FAILURE

Muncie Power Products, Inc.’s line of dump pumps is available in a three-line system option to help prevent the most common dump pump failure of high temperatures resulting from the pump being operated too long in neutral.

A three-line system includes a separate line to return hydraulic oil from the cylinder directly to the reservoir instead of forcing its way back through the inlet line. The three-line allows faster down cycles and ultimately runs cooler.

Available dump pumps include the E Series and S Series. Both the E Series and S Series are available in the three-line option. The E Series has a maximum pressure of 2,500 psi and is the standard equipment for tandem, tri-axle dumps, and dump trailers with high volume cylinders. Its pressure-balanced wear plates promote high efficiency. Larger port options for fast cycle times are available with the EH model.

Accessible via a dedicated section of the new Detroit Connect portal, Analytics provides users with on-demand, automated fuel efficiency and safety analysis and reports featuring key insights from Detroit and Daimler Trucks North America engineers.

Analytics uses that expertise to quickly identify behaviors, trends, root causes, and key insights on fuel consumption and safety performance data across the fleet. The data provides easy-to-read analysis and recommendations for improving vehicle and fleet performance. Fleet managers can view the data for a single trip, single vehicle, or their entire fleet over different periods. The fuel efficiency performance data analyzed includes engine speed, idle time, cruise control, engine power, integrated powertrain performance, and driver interaction. CHEVRON TO ROLLOUT HEAVY-DUTY MOTOR OILS WITH ISOSYN ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

Chevron Products Company, a Chevron U.S.A. Inc. division, maker of the Delo® brand of technologically advanced engine oils, lubricants, and coolants, introduces ISOSYN® Advanced Technology and its new line of Delo 400 API CK-4 and FA-4 heavy-duty motor oils (HDMO) coming December 1, 2016. As part of its product rollout, Chevron will be launching a new advisor service created to help customers select the best products for them by assessing their business needs, analyzing their current lubricant choices, and developing a customized action plan specific to their needs.

Chevron unveils the next generation of its ISOSYN technology—ISOSYN Advanced Technology, a combination of Chevron’s industry leading formulation expertise, high performance additive chemistry, and premium base oils—that helps extend the durability of critical diesel engine parts.
ISOSYN Advanced Technology enables increased durability through better oxidation control, anti-wear protection, and piston control, while extending drain intervals compared to API CJ-4 oils. Taking this a step further, a formulation of ISOSYN Advanced Technology has helped to optimize fuel efficiency for the FA-4 specific oils.

In addition to the new product line, Chevron will be launching a new advisor service for its customers and potential customers to help them during this time of transition, ensuring they select the right product for their needs. This new program has three phases:

  • Assess: Chevron will take stock of all the equipment, field of industry, level of performance, and goals for the business.
  • Analyze: Leveraging its expertise, Chevron will work with the customer to determine what product is best for them based on the budget, production demands, and vision for the future.
  • Action: After the data has been calculated, a report will be generated outlining the ideal product recommendation that will optimize the business, advise on total vehicle efficiency improvements, and customize inventory management for the needs of each company.
