Hino Trucks Commemorates Delivery of First Cummins Powered Truck to Penske Truck Leasing

Cummins Account Executives Jamie Freeman and Grant Russo joined Paul Rosa, senior vice president of procurement and fleet planning for Penske Truck Leasing; and Hino Trucks’ Bob Petz, senior vice president of vehicle and truck sales; Rodney Shaffer, vice president national account; and Glenn Ellis senior vice president of customer experience.

Earlier this year, Hino announced intent to produce medium- and heavy-duty trucks with Cummins engines by the end of 2021. This month, Hino delivered the first of these vehicles to Penske Truck Leasing in its Mineral Wells, West Virginia plant.

Further, Hino opened the Mineral Wells facility to support demand and configurations, says Bob Petz, senior vice president of vehicle and parts sales for Hino Trucks. It’s exciting to see Penske, a long-time Hino partner, receive the first of Hino’s BEV innovations, Petz says.
