Hilltip, manufacturer of snowplows, spreaders, de-icing sprayers, sweepers, and other road maintenance equipment, acquired all assets of Industrial Metal Products, Inc., an Indiana-based manufacturer of truck beds and other quality metal products. The arrangement provides growth opportunities for both companies’ products, while aiding Hilltip’s expansion in the North American market.
The acquisition allows Hilltip to manufacture its products in North America using the company’s Fort Wayne facility. Additionally, the facility will immediately get a remarkable expansion for increased production and storage capacity. Hilltip will also establish resources and a customer service team to serve dealers and customers in the US and Canada.
Craig Sandmann, Hilltip, Inc. North America managing director, says the company can now manufacture all its products in the US. The acquisition also enables the company to distribute its products throughout North America. These products include Hilltip spreaders, sprayers, brooms, and established lines the company has yet to offer domestically.
Industrial Metal Products will continue production and development of its existing product line as a separate division of Hilltip. It will also still carry the Industrial Truck Beds brand name.
