Fontaine Heavy-Haul Changes Company Name to Fontaine Specialized

The trailer business previously known as Fontaine Heavy-Haul is now Fontaine Specialized.

Todd Anderson, president of Fontaine Specialized, explains the product line will continue to expand beyond traditional trailers. He says over the years, the company has: expanded the Xcalibur flatbed and dropdeck models; introduced the Traverse hydraulic tail models; created the line of Workhorse lowbed models; and added new Magnitude models. He says the name of the company should reflect its products, and, further, its dealer network is supportive of the rebranding.

Additionally, Heather Gilmer, vice president of sales, says the feedback for the rebrand is positive. Named  Fontaine Specialized from 1993 to 2009, Gilmer says some customers continued referring to the company as such, even under the Heavy-Haul brand. She says the company’s tradition of innovation as well as customer support will continue under the Fontaine Specialized name.
