Fleet Advantage’s Kids Around The Corner Foundation Donates John Deere Tractor to HorsePlay Therapy Center

CONTRIBUTION AIMS TO HELP SUPPORT NONPROFIT’S HORSEBACK THERAPY PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND VETERANS

Fleet Advantage, an innovator in Class 8 fleet data analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM), announced a donation of an $18,000 John Deere tractor from Ag-Pro of Hastings through its Kids Around The Corner Foundation to HorsePlay Therapy Center.

HorsePlay Therapy Center helps advance development and healing for children with special needs and veterans with PTSD and other injuries. The center uses Hippotherapy (horseback physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy) as well as equine therapy on its mission. This is the second year Kids Around The Corner Foundation has donated to the nonprofit organization. The foundation continues to help children through various donations since its founding in 2014.

Additionally, HorsePlay Therapy Center staff play an integral role in the support of children and veterans with disabilities; and further, no child or veteran is ever denied treatment based on their ability to pay. The nonprofit will use the donated John Deere tractor to maintain HorsePlay Therapy Center’s two horseback facilities in St. Augustine, Florida.

IMPACT

“Ag-Pro Companies and I were very pleased and honored to have had the opportunity to work with KATC and assist HorsePlay Therapy Center in finding the right piece of equipment for their organization, an organization that focuses on giving back to the surrounding communities,” says Brien Johnson, equipment sales representative for Ag-Pro of Hastings. “I look forward to being able to continue building relationships with non-profit organizations such as HorsePlay Therapy Center in the future.”

“We appreciate all of the efforts of Fleet Advantage to equip us with a much-needed tractor to maintain our therapy grounds for our growing children’s therapy program that offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy to kids with special needs,” says Vicky Carregal, executive director for Horseplay Therapy Center. “We would also like to thank Ag Pro for their assistance in making this happen.”

Elizabeth Gomez, Fleet Advantage marketing manager and foundation chairperson, says the company is fortunate to make the donation. She says Fleet Advantage has developed a great relationship with Ag-Pro of Hastings and the therapy center. “We strive to continue supporting our local communities for many years to come,” Gomez adds.
