Advantage Truck Group Marks 10 Years of Haulin’ 4 Hunger

HAULIN’ 4 HUNGER PROGRAM REACHES MORE THAN 30,000 MEALS DONATED OVER THE PAST DECADE

Advantage Truck Group (ATG) celebrates 10 years of giving back to its communities through Haulin’ 4 Hunger. ATG will celebrate by increasing donations to help provide meals in communities near ATG dealerships throughout New England.

This month, Haulin’ 4 Hunger delivered over 4,000 fresh meals to food pantry organizations in communities near ATG-Shrewsbury in Massachusetts. Haulin’ 4 Hunger will also distribute meals throughout December to six hunger-relief organizations near other ATG locations throughout New England.

Over the past decade, Haulin’ 4 Hunger has donated over 30,000 meals across New England.

“We are grateful for the continued support that our employees, customers, and business partners have for this program,” says Kevin G. Holmes, president and CEO of ATG. “While serving our customers is our most important mission, serving our communities truly defines who we are. As we mark 10 years of Haulin’ 4 Hunger, ATG’s commitment to fighting hunger and reducing food insecurity in our communities remains more important than ever.”

FRESH FOOD DELIVERY

The holidays are especially difficult for those struggling to put food on their table. While every donation helps, nutritious yet expensive fresh foods are the most requested at pantries and often in short supply.

This month, Haulin’ 4 Hunger hand-delivered over 4,000 holiday meals of turkey—and trimmings—to food pantries in Central Massachusetts. Additionally, deliveries of fresh meals will be made to eight organizations:

Further, at other ATG dealerships in New England, employees selected organizations in their communities to receive quarterly donations. This quarter’s Haulin’ 4 Hunger donation of nonperishable meals of Spam® as well as rice and green beans will be made to six food pantry organizations near ATG locations:

“Each of the organizations we support through Haulin’ 4 Hunger is working to ensure those facing hardships have enough food to eat during the holidays and every day, and we are honored to help them in this critical effort,” Holmes says.

10 YEARS OF IMPACT

With ongoing support from ATG partners, including Dennis K. Burke, G. Lopes Construction, SelecTrucks of New England, Worcester Railers HC, and UniBank, Haulin’ 4 Hunger has continued to increase donations as well as expand support to food pantry organizations in every area where ATG operates. Undertaking this effort also takes significant planning and coordination, and ATG employees dedicate countless hours to purchase, collect, sort, and package food to help those in need.

“It has been so impactful to witness ATG’s growing number of employees who embrace this commitment to giving back,” says ATG Integrated Marketing Manager Sarah Harrington, who leads the Haulin’ 4 Hunger program. “From every quarterly nonperishable donation and fresh meal delivery they make, to the personal initiatives they take to help support the program, their efforts showcase the power of coming together to do good in our communities.”

Since founding Haulin’ 4 Hunger 10 years ago, ATG has grown to a network of dealers with eight locations across New England. As ATG continues to expand, it remains committed to fighting food insecurity in the communities it serves.
