MIKE ALBERT FLEET SOLUTIONS NAMES CEO

Mike Albert Fleet Solutions named Marty Kuhn as CEO following a unanimous vote of its board of directors. Kuhn, who has served as president since 2022, will retain that title.

The appointment marks a milestone for the company, as Kuhn becomes the first non-family CEO in its history. Its namesake, Mike Albert, founded the business in 1928, and the Betagole family has owned and led it for more than six decades. John Betagole, a second-generation owner and the company’s most recent CEO, was also voted Chairman of the board this morning and will continue to serve in that capacity.

Kuhn joined Mike Albert Fleet Solutions in 2022 after a career spanning nearly two decades in consumer finance and fintech. He previously served as president of SmartPay in Cincinnati, where he led a shift toward e-commerce and digital growth and helped secure more than $3 billion in capital. He serves on multiple local executive committees, including the Cincinnati Regional Business Committee, and mentors small-business owners and entrepreneurs. He lives in Cincinnati with his wife and two daughters.

Under Kuhn’s leadership, Mike Albert has broadened the services clients adopt across maintenance, fuel, telematics, and other fleet operating needs; expanded its work-ready upfitting so vehicles arrive configured for the jobs they are built to do; and strengthened the data foundation that helps client teams identify key decision points earlier in a vehicle’s life cycle.
