NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA), the vehicle fleet industry’s largest membership association, is pleased to announce that it has joined forces with Building Bikes, Spreading Love, a local nonprofit group that connects children with bicycles, at the 2026 Institute & Expo (I&E), which will take place April 13-15, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.
As part of NAFA Gives Back, the community service initiative at I&E, members and conference attendees will gather on Wednesday, April 15, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM to assemble new bicycles for children in the region’s foster care system.
For more than a decade, Building Bikes, Spreading Love has operated with a simple yet profound mission: providing mobility, joy, and a sense of belonging to children in need through the gift of a bicycle. By bringing this mission to the industry’s premier event, NAFA aims to combine professional networking with a high-impact charitable cause.
“A bicycle is more than just a toy for a child in foster care,” says Bill Schankel, CAE, CEO of NAFA. “A new bike represents freedom and a connection to their community. NAFA is honored to support Building Bikes, Spreading Love this year. This event allows our attendees to roll up their sleeves, bond with their colleagues, and leave a lasting, positive footprint on the host city of Cleveland.”
During the two-hour volunteer session, participants will work in teams to assemble bikes, ensuring they are safe and ready for their new owners. The event is designed to foster new connections among fleet industry professionals while supporting the local foster care community.
NAFA’s I&E 2026 will feature more than 60 educational sessions covering a wide range of topics, including fleet operations, sustainability, emerging technologies and the latest vehicle models. I&E attendees will enjoy access to all educational sessions, the industry’s largest Expo Hall, and numerous networking opportunities with peers and industry leaders. Interested attendees can register here.
