ISUZU OPENS WORLD-CLASS CENTER OF EXCELLENCE IN PENNSYLVANIA
Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, Inc., distributor of America’s best-selling low cab forward trucks, opens its first Center of Excellence in northeast Pennsylvania.
The complex—the first of its kind for Isuzu—is comprised of a state-of-the-art, 100,000-square-foot parts distribution center and a world-class 30,000-square-foot training and technical assistance facility.

The Center of Excellence puts three major functions supporting dealerships and customers in the region under one roof:

this post is proudly sponsored by:
  • Parts Distribution: More than $8 million worth of parts are stocked in the facility, placing them close to a concentrated area of commercial vehicle dealers, reducing delivery time.
  • Training Center: Dealership service, parts, sales, and customer satisfaction personnel from throughout the US will receive intensive, hands-on technical and lifecycle training at Isuzu Truck University.
  • Technical Assistance: The center will house local Field Service Engineers and a Technical Assistance Line team. By focusing on dealers in specific parts of the country, both teams can react to issues and trends in a faster, more personalized manner.

The Center’s location in Jenkins Township/Pittston was strategically chosen. The northeast region of the country is home to one of the highest concentration of US Isuzu dealerships, Isuzu commercial trucks in operation, and the company’s annual parts sales.

While this Center of Excellence is the first of its kind for Isuzu, it will not be the last. Plans are already underway to open a second facility in the United States.

ASA ELECTRONICS RELEASES REAR SENSOR SYSTEM
Backing up has never felt so safe. With ASA Electronics’ new Voyager® CVRPS14 Rear Sensor System, drivers of medium and large vehicles have the comfort of knowing what is behind them at all times. Newly released to the market, this system comprises four, independent rear sensors spaced evenly along the back of a vehicle, giving drivers an accurate reading of the surrounding areas along with excellent range of vision. When attached to a compatible display, the sensors will provide an audible and visual notification when an object is detected. The audible warning progressively beeps as objects approach the vehicle. The visual warning and real time video can be displayed on any attached Voyager monitor or any JENSEN touch screen stereo with a camera input.

“Customers love the fact that the sensor system is fully integrated into the Voyager camera system. The sensor system uses the same cabling that the standard Voyager system uses, which displays the OSD and audible alert on the Voyager monitor,” says Pat McCullough, ASA Electronics’ VP, Sales.

Each sensor operates independently from the others, giving off four distinct, constant signals to alert the driver of objects currently behind the vehicle, as well as objects moving toward or across the rear of the vehicle. “The color coded signal warning zones, along with the actual camera image, show the driver just how far away an object is. And, when combined with the audible beeps, it allows a driver to back into a location with complete confidence,” says Joe Camacho, CV division accounts manager.
