Isuzu’s Low Cab Forwards Have Reigned for Decades. Here’s Why

AN AMERICAN FAVORITE

Isuzu NQR

Isuzu has long been an innovator in low cab forwards (LCF), starting with the first two-ton LCF in 1959. And, there’s a reason Isuzu Commercial Trucks have been the No. 1 selling LCF in the nation every year since 1986.

That country-favorite LCF lineup includes the NQR, bringing versatility and durability to your workforce.

PURE POWER

Isuzu’s 5.2-L Isuzu 4HK1-TC turbocharged intercooled diesel engine runs the NQR. The 4HK1-TC offers 215 hp at 2,500 rpm and 452 lb-ft of torque at 1,850 rpm. At Isuzu, with great power comes great durability, and the NQR is no exception. This engine provides a B10 service life durability of 375,000 miles.

The Aisin A465 6-speed automatic transmission keeps this truck shifting with double overdrive and lock-up on second through sixth gears. It also features a lock-up torque convertor and PTO opening. If that easy shifting causes a driver to go too fast, rest assured the NQR brakes will slow him down. The NQR features hydraulic boosted brakes with four-channel ABS disc in the front and drum brakes in the rear.

The NQR has two maintenance-free 750-CCA batteries and a 140-amp alternator to keep your truck going and going in any application.

FIT FOR YOU

All Isuzu trucks come in a variety of options that are sure to fit the needs of your business. Choose between a three-seat cab and a crew cab that seats a seven-person crew. Isuzu LCFs accommodate a number of applications and vocational bodies up to 30 ft with the standard cab and 16 ft with crew cabs. The NQR, specifically, has wheelbases between 109 and 200 inches with body lengths up to 22 ft.

What does your business need? A box? A bed? Whatever the need, the NQR can accommodate, offering a GVWR of 17,950 lbs and a GCWR of 23,950 lbs. The NQR also offers more available cargo space than competitors on the same wheelbase.

Even spec’d out with your business’ application, Isuzu’s LCFs are easy to drive. They feature outstanding visibility and maneuverability that provide an exceptional driving experience. Operators can see the ground within 8 ft in front of their truck and turn the NQR with an impressive wheel-cut angle of 49.5 degrees. But an incredible driving experience doesn’t stop there.

Isuzu offers plenty of optional features to suit your exact needs. These features are designed to maximize comfort, efficiency, and productivity.

Choose features such as seat covers, suspension driver seat, and keyless entry to cater to your drivers’ needs and wants. Features such as a locking DEF cap, air deflector, vertical exhaust, remote mirror controls, and an additional fuel tank optimize productivity and efficiency.

ISUZU BENEFITS

Owners of the Isuzu NQR experience several perks with their truck. One of which is a lower cost of ownership than competitor vehicles. This is due to the engine, transmission, and other components Isuzu uses in its trucks.

Service members will thank you for purchasing an NQR, as even servicing an NQR is an upgrade from other trucks. The NQR features a tilted cab, making engine access quick and easy. And, the NQR’s highly rigid cab design protects your driver on the inside.

One way to keep your Isuzu NQR in its best shape and performing to its greatest capacity is to incorporate Isuzu’s service programs into truck maintenance. Isuzu offers Vehicle Health Reports as a standard feature on all its trucks. Health reports allow owners to discover any potential issues with their vehicle before it becomes a major problem. These reports show engine condition, emissions system, brake usage history, fuel economy history, and driver operating habits.

Owners also have the option of Isuzu’s Priority Service Maintenance Program to ensure their truck is first in line at their dealer for truck maintenance. That means less downtime and more time on the road or at the job.

In addition to service programs, Isuzu also offers Roadside Assistance. Anything could happen from the office to the jobsite, and you nor Isuzu want your driver stranded for hours, wasting valuable time that could be spent on the job.

When it comes to low cab forward trucks, America has spoken … and has been speaking for the past 32 years. Join with the masses, and put your drivers in the No. 1 selling LCF. Put them in an Isuzu NQR.
