ISUZU ASSEMBLES 50,000TH N-SERIES GASOLINE TRUCK IN AMERICA

Isuzu’s 50,000th gasoline-powered N-Series truck rolled off the assembly line on August 1 in Charlotte, Michigan. The N-Series truck was the first gasoline-powered low cab forward truck available in North America, and the assembly of 50,000 of these trucks proves Isuzu was correct in anticipating such a demand for the truck.

The N-Series gasoline-powered trucks feature a Vortec 6-L small-block V8 engine, producing 297 hp at 4,300 rpm and generating 372 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm—the most torque of any gasoline-powered LCF truck in North America.

TRANSFER FLOW RELEASES TRIO OF IN-BED AUXILIARY FUEL TANKS

Sleek and compact, Transfer Flow’s new trio of in-bed auxiliary tanks fit 1999 to 2018 Ford and Ram and 2001 to 2018 GM short and long bed diesel trucks. The fuel tanks are available in 50-, 75-, and 100-gallon capacities and feature clean lines, more subtle and attractive branding, and a more durable profile.

The new trio of fuel tanks are computer-controlled by Transfer Flow’s TRAX 3 operating system with AutoTrans technology. TRAX 3 systems include an in-cab LCD, displaying fuel levels in the main and the auxiliary tanks that show remaining fuel in percentages or gallons, which was suggested by customers. This computer-controlled automatic fuel transfer means worry-free operation and more reliable and much safer operations than gravity-fed systems. The TRAX 3 system transfers fuel at predetermined levels while the vehicle is in operation.

A patented recessed cover box protects the sending unit, rollover valve, and fuel filter as a more elegant and efficient solution for protecting critical components from weather conditions and any potential damage. The tank also includes internal baffles for reduced fuel slosh. For more, visit www.transferflow.com.
